The border mountain massif of the Southern Alps is a place where authenticity and tourism have been able to meet while respecting landscapes and its inhabitants. It also has a very special geographical situation. Indeed, this is where the famous *'retour d'est' pours out, which can offer incredible amounts of snow for our greatest pleasure. And when you have tasted it once, it is rarely the last time. The Queyras quickly calls one back!
Objective:
- To enjoy yourself in total safety. You have had your introduction to ski touring and splitboarding and wish to deepen your knowledge through experiencing daily tours and greater elevation gains.
- Improve your technique.
- Improve your knowledge in the use of avalanche rescue equipment.
* A 'retour d'est' is something of a mythical and iconic phenomenon. According to the tradition: up to 2

PROGRAM :
We will start our trip at the Maison Gaudissard and spend a night at a refuge.
Monday :
- We will start the morning with a breif equipment review.
- After, I will
spend time checking your technique and offering guidance and tips.
Afternoon: - Skiing in and off-pistes of the Molines-Saint-Véran.
- Exercises to detect avalanche victims.
- Map reading.
Tuesday, Wednesday :
- Day tours. Areas to be defined according to weather and snow conditions.
- Elevation gains between 500m and 1500m/day.
- Deepening our knowledge in utilising equipment for avalanche rescue. Teachings about group searches and multi-person rescues.
Thursday:
- Day tour with climb to the Mountain Refuge where we will spend the night.
Friday:
- From the Mountain Refuge we will go up to a pass or summit then return to Molines Saint-Véran.
Participants: 1 to 5 people.
Minimum level required:
You have already been ski or splitboard touring. Let me know your ski / snowboard level in order for me to determine the possibility of facilitating a trip that suits everyones level. Consult me for details.
PRICES :
Food and Accommodation:
Full board (breakfast, picnic at Midday and dinner ) : 320 euros
5 days Supervision:
- 1-2 people: 350EUR/DAY.
- 3 people: 400EUR/DAY
- 4-5 people: 450EUR/DAY.
- 5+: Get in touch.
Skipass:
35 ± EUR.
Insurance:
Make
sure with your insurance provider that you are covered for emergency
and rescue costs that include zones on and outside the ski areas for the
ski touring activities.
